I live in Hanham, in supported accommodation with my two housemates. I moved there 11 years ago. My mum lives in Longwell Green, and my sister in Hanham, so not far.

Everyone at Keynsham Mencap is my friend.  Who? All of them! All of them are my friends.  Jon is my best friend.  Abi too.  I usually share a room with Annabel when we go on the Mencap holidays too.  Suzie is another good friend.  You can meet lots of people at Mencap.

We normally do a Christmas concert. We play instruments.  I play a tambourine and wood blocks.  The Music Man is my favourite club.  I love it.  I’m going to the Albert Hall in April with a group of my best friends.  We will be singing on the stage with Michael Ball!  I’m excited.  We went once before in 2018 and my Mum came to watch.  We stayed in a hotel in London.  Last time we performed in the Albert Hall it was amazing, I can’t wait to go again.

I like the MMP leaders as well. Naomi, Jacqui and Julie, and all the volunteers.  They are all so much fun every week and at the concerts.

Jon did a solo of Music is Magic at Keynsham Music Festival.  I like the practising and the performing, playing the drums…all of it really.  We have to watch Naomi and concentrate.  She says “Watch me not anybody else!” so we do that.  We have got some new songs for the Albert Hall concert next year.  I haven’t got a favourite song.  Suzie sometimes does a solo too. 

We went to a school, to Warmley Park school, and did a performance for the children.  They liked listening to us, and we love doing it.

I sing in the car.  We love Mama Mia at the moment.  I go to a singing and dancing club on Mondays in a taxi.  I love music so much.  Music Man is my favourite. 

I go on the Mencap summer holiday every year.  We go out for trips every day.  This year we went to a place with a special swing for wheelchairs.  I swung so much.  I loved it.  There isn’t one here.

I’m quite a social person.  I like being with lots of people. I really like the parties.  Soon there will be a Christmas party with a disco.  DJ Barry will be DJing.  He’s good.  I like the discos.

I usually go round to see my mum on Wednesday and Sunday.  This Saturday is my niece’s birthday, so we will see them all, then round to Mum’s on Sunday. 

I do Hydrotherapy which I love and swimming on Sundays and sometimes The Hive and the gym in Longwell Green too.
