I’ve been in the paper a lot.  For the Mencap 45th Birthday party as a DJ.  I help doing the DJing.

I live with Barry and the staff.  They come in in the morning and the afternoon and the evening.  They help with cooking and cleaning, like they change my bed, clean the bathrooms, lounge.  I’m friends with Ali O.  She is nice. She is a support worker. She helps me do the moneys.  She helps with everything. 

I met Barry at Mencap.  I have been with him for about 8 years.  We got together on his 30th birthday.  We are engaged.  I have a ring.  He went away on holiday with his mum, and I relaxed!  I do love cooking… lots of vegetables.  I cook roast dinners.  Barry does the ironing for me, because I don’t like it, so he does it for me.  I cook.  He is my toy boy.  I am 40, and he will be 40.  I’ll be married to him when he’s 40.

We did a video with Hayley the support worker.  With Ric (Davidson from KTCRFM).  We did the radio show with Ric and Naomi from Music Man.  She talked about her favourite music.  My favourite music is Peace and Hope, one of the Music Man songs, and Choco-la-te.

I started coming to clubs when I was an adult.  I do the extra days, the trips and holidays.  We do anything we like on holidays; swimming, going out for tea, disco, karaoke and the beach. Hot tubs as well!  They are very nice, lovely and warm!

I go to Club 25.  We had a beach party.  We went out on a day trip to the cinema one Saturday, and the Bob Cooke Games which is a sport day.  We went on a trip to Weston Super-Mare and had fish and chips.  Uproar is a disco is in Bath; dancing and drinks as well.  I see my friend Sheriden.  They go to Bath Mencap.  That is separate (from Keynsham & District Mencap), but we all go to Uproar together. We can meet more people.  I like meeting people.  My favourite is Mencap though, of all the clubs.  I like it because I see my friends at Mencap; lots of them at Club 25. 

We had a bake sale raising money for the Mencap at Club 25.  We sell cake.  I bake.  I love making cakes. I like the Slimming World coffee cake best.

I do the Mencap Fitness Club.  It is in Wellsway school up the top.  On Tuesdays I relax because there are no clubs.  On Wednesday I do radio with Ric, and on Thursday I’ve got Club 25.   I finished Boccia and football.  I’m not going anymore now.  I go swimming at the leisure centre and the gym.  I do a lot of gym and swimming. 

I like Mencap.  I like all the people.  Laura J makes me laugh. She’s funny.  I meet my friends there.  I met more friends at Mencap.  So many, like Hannah.  We chat and see what she is doing.  I’ve seen her new flat.  It’s very nice.  Hannah and Mark her husband live there.  I met them through Keynsham Mencap.  I used to live with Hannah on Warwick Road.  I was there for 6 months.

I was selling raffle tickets at the Coventry back with Courtney, a support worker.

My mum is in The Good Morning Choir.  Music Man sang with them at the Keynsham Music Festival.  Grenville Jones is the leader. 

I like karaoke. On holiday I sang I Will Always Love You.  In December we will be singing in the winter concert with Music Man at the church.  Next year we will be singing at the Royal Albert Hall!

I do love clothes.  I like clothes shopping.  My favourite is my purple dress.  It’s very nice.  I have a pink sparkly dress I wore for my birthday disco.  I had a big birthday. My mum and Clifford came.  My mum and all my friends were there.  There was a buffet as well.  I like Malibu, and Jack Daniels.  I got two bottles of wine too for birthday presents.  Deano and Laura came to my party.  Ali O organised the music for me. Her favourite is “You Are My Sunshine.”

My mum lives in Keynsham.  I am going away at Christmas with my mum.  We eat healthily.  I like the gym, running.  On Sundays I go the gym.  Dad has passed away.  He looks down on me.  I went there on Fathers’ Day and put flowers on.  On my dad’s birthday, I get flowers and put them there.  I had some wine too.  I love wine. My favourite is white.  I get some wine and wish him a happy birthday.  Just one drink not two. 

On Monday I work in Bath in a café, in the Manvers Street Café.  I clean the tables, wash up and do the dishwasher.  I do Monday and Thursdays.  I am good at remembering dates.  I have lots of them on my calendar on my phone.  There are lots of useful things on there.

I went abseiling and I liked it.  It wasn’t scary, no.  I climbed the wall a long time ago too.  On the Mencap holiday we did a zip wire over the sea.  It was good. I had never done that before.  I would do it again, yes.  My favourite ride is the roller coaster.  I like scary rides and put my hands up! I told Laura, “Don’t look down!”  I went to Blackpool on the Mencap holiday once before.
